MEET DOUG
Hi! I’m Doug — a writer and traveler drawn to the kind of experiences that unfold just off the main path.
Travel has always been a passion of mine, even if I haven’t been able to do it as often or as far as I’d like. Life happens — but every trip I take, I make count. And here at Found Along the Way, I share those moments with you: the small discoveries, unexpected detours, and stories that stick with you long after you’ve unpacked.
I also live with Crohn’s and food allergies, so I know what it’s like to navigate a trip when your body has different rules than everyone else’s. Whether it’s finding meals I can safely eat or planning around energy dips, I’ve learned how to travel in a way that’s flexible, intentional, and still full of discovery. I’ll share those tips along the way too — because travel should be possible and enjoyable for all of us.
Whether it’s a misty morning in Edinburgh, a side street in Rome, or a quiet ferry ride in NYC, this is where I tell the stories that make travel personal — and hopefully spark a few ideas for your next adventure
